WHAT TO EXPECT PRIOR TO MY FIRST VISIT In Swansea

Our “new patient” paperwork is conveniently located on the homepage of this website. Please feel free to download, print, and complete the appropriate forms and bring them to your first appointment.  This will save you about 15 minutes in our clinic.

However, you may complete the required paperwork at our clinic prior to your first appointment, we just ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled consultation so you can maximize your time allotted with the doctor.

WHAT TO EXPECT MY FIRST VISIT

After the paperwork is completed, you will then consult with our Head Chiropractic Physician, Dr. Currier (“Dr. J.”).  This consultation is your opportunity to discuss your health concerns and past health history. Based upon your consultation, Dr. Currier will determine if you may have a condition that chiropractic can treat or if you need to be referred elsewhere to receive the care you need.

Next, a physical exam will be performed which typically includes a digital alignment analysis, orthopedic testing, range of motion testing, muscle testing, and a specific chiropractic evaluation. X-rays may be necessary to determine an exact diagnosis. X-rays can be done right at the office. In order to have time to give your case a thorough study, Dr. Currier will go over the results of the exam and x-rays with you on the next visit.

WHAT TO EXPECT MY SECOND VISIT

On this visit, your x-ray and examination findings are explained to you in great detail. More importantly, this is the time when Dr. Currier reveals whether or not you have a condition that can benefit from chiropractic care, or if your condition is beyond the help of conservative care.

Then, depending on your situation, you may receive an adjustment. Adjustments should not be painful, although you may feel some discomfort until the pressure in the joint is relieved. Dr. Currier is highly trained in many forms of adjustments. Rest assured, the proper technique will be chosen to suit your needs and comfort level.

WHAT TO EXPECT MY THIRD VISIT

Depending on your condition, Dr. Currier may recommend a series of visits for care.  Treatment plan options and a fully disclosed financial report will be discussed with you, in great detail, prior to any services being rendered.

Our best recommendation is always given, but health is ultimately up to you; contracts are never used at LifeSpine Health Enhancement Center.
